Keeping Branded Merchandise Out of the Landfill: SwagCycle Completes its Largest Ever Donation

While giving away branded merchandise or “swag” is a popular way for companies and organizations to promote their brands, these items can end up in landfills when those companies and organizations rebrand or the merchandise becomes obsolete. The promotional products industry has made a shift in recent years to focus more on quality products and sustainable, responsible sourcing. Still, much can be done to increase recycling and donation of unneeded branded merchandise and reduce the amount of swag that ends up in a landfill.

At SwagCycle, we help tackle this very issue. Whether it’s a few t-shirts from last year’s sponsored fun run, or boxes of goods with the outdated company logo, the question is the same: how do you dispose of unusable swag in a responsible way? Leveraging our proprietary network of charitable and recycling partners, we manage the lifecycle of all types of branded merchandise and keep unwanted branded items out of landfills by helping to repurpose and recycle them in a responsible, ethical, and affordable way.
